Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the online #AddMe profile which is organized by The Brand Surgeon.whose registered address is ..., Telephone +27 .... The Brand Surgeon is a company incorporated in South Africa whose main business activity is to collect data for purposes of Market Research on behalf of major clients in the product and service industry.

  1. You the 'User'.
    1. You (the “User”) must comply with the terms and conditions set out in this agreement (the “User Agreement”) in your use of this web site. You must be at least 18 years of age (or meet the minimum legal age and any other requirements to enter into legal agreements in your particular jurisdiction) to use our website. By using our website and by agreeing to these terms (“Terms”), you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
    2. These Terms are provided in the English language only, and we have no control over any third party translations. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information translated by any third party translation service and will not accept liability for loss incurred as a result. Some files, and other items cannot be translated including but not limited to graphical buttons, drop down menus, graphics, and photos. In addition, some applications and/or services may not work as expected when translated.
  2. Registration.
    1. To participate in the #AddMe, participants are required to register at the website http://profileme.thebrandsurgeon.co.za by providing the following information:
      1. First and Last Name;
      2. Mobile and Email Addresses; and
      3. ID Number (In some cases).
    2. Participants are required to ensure that the information provided to The Brand Surgeon for registration of the #AddMe profile is valid, complete and accurate. In the event that such information is found to be invalid, incomplete and inaccurate, the participants will automatically be disqualified from the #AddMe Questionnaire.
    3. Participants are required to inform The Brand Surgeon of any changes to the information provided to The Brand Surgeon in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1(a) above prior to the Closing Date (as hereinafter defined) by email to AddMe@thebrandsurgeon.co.za.
  3. Eligibility for #AddMe.
    1. The #AddMe is open to all residents of South Africa who are at least 18 years of age at the time of participation.
    2. Employees, representatives, assignees and agents of The Brand Surgeon as well as all sponsors, advertising agencies and event coordinators of The Brand Surgeon, including their family and household members are not eligible to participate in #AddMe.
  4. Other Conditions of Participation.
    1. Participation in #AddMe shall be via the Internet. All entries for the #AddMe must be submitted to The Brand Surgeon via the internet or email on or before the end date of each #AddMe Questionnaire at midnight.
    2. Participation in the #AddMe does not depend on the purchase of any merchandise, the use of any non-gratuitous services and/or the payment of any charges and/or user fees to The Brand Surgeon or other companies involved in the organization of #AddMe.
  5. Details and Conduct of #AddMe and The Brand Surgeon.
    1. Actual group participants of #AddMe will be determined solely by the selection and requirements made out by the client and by The Brand Surgeon’s discretion.
    2. The Brand Surgeon's decision as to the participants of any #AddMe Research Group shall be final and binding on all parties concerned, and no correspondence will be entertained by The Brand Surgeon.
    3. At the selection, The Brand Surgeon may draw reserve participants to replace any Research Group member subsequently disqualified.
  6. Notification of final Research Group Participants.
    1. Participants will receive a follow-up call to check information, and to determine group status. An email will also be sent to the participant that will include a map and any additional instructions.
  7. Privacy Policy.
    1. By providing The Brand Surgeon with personal information, the participants signify that he or she agrees with the terms of the privacy policy imposed by The Brand Surgeon. If you do not agree with any term in the policy, please do not provide any personal information. For more information on The Brand Surgeon's privacy policy.
    2. We are also governed by the Southern African Marketing Research Association (SAMRA).
  8. Third Party Advertisers and Marketers.
    1. When you submit your Personal Information to us by way of our website or email, for example by completing a registration or questionnaire form, or a portion of the Personal Information. We WILL NOT submit any form or part of your Personal Information to advertisers or any other marketing company. Accordingly, by using our website and by submitting the Personal Information, you are agreeing that we WILL NOT pass on any of the Personal Information you submit to any Third Parties.
  9. Preservation of Intellectual Property Rights.
    1. Material from this website or from any other website owned, operated, licensed or controlled by us may not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way. Modification of the materials or use of the materials for any other purpose is a violation of the copyrights and other proprietary rights held by the respective owners thereof. The use of any such material on any other web site, ftp server or network environment is prohibited.
